Check the cable between control module #A11 and heated oxygen sensor #2 for intermittent short-circuit to voltage.

Checking the wiring and component
Check the resistance for the rear heated oxygen sensor's coil between #1 and #2. At 20 °C the resistance should be approx. 5.0-6.8 ohms.
Check the cable between control module terminal #A11 and front heated oxygen sensor #2 for short-circuit to voltage.
Remedy as necessary.

Hint: After carrying out the repair, check that the fault has been remedied.








- Ignition off.
- Reconnect connectors, reinstall components
- Start the engine and let it idle.
- Read off the signal for the rear heated oxygen sensor (HO2S).

Note! It takes approximately 50 seconds before fuel trim starts.

Check that the signal is within its permitted range. The signal should rise and exceed 0.67 V.
