Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information ECM-3010
Condition
The engine control module (ECM) checks the signals from the camshaft position (CMP) sensor on the exhaust side.
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) ECM-3010 is stored if the control module does not register any signals from the camshaft position (CMP) sensor or counts too few flank changes during a number of crankshaft revolutions.
Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) ECM-3010 can be diagnosed when the engine is running.
Substitute value
- The transmission input speed sensor is used if it is working.
Possible source
- Open-circuit in the signal cable
- Short-circuit to ground in the signal cable
- Short-circuit to supply voltage in the signal cable
- Defective camshaft position (CMP) sensor on the exhaust side.

- Engine difficult to start
- The engine misfires.
