SUBJECT: FM Sound Quality Dolby Setting
CHASSIS: N/A
REFERENCE: N/A
DESCRIPTION:
The XC90 audio system is equipped with three different sound settings:
^ Normal
^ 3Channel
^ Dolby Prologic II.
The MY03 XC90 was built so that the audio setting carries over the different sources. In other words it Dolby Prologic II is selected in CD mode then the source is changed to FM mode the sound setting will remain in Dolby Prologic II.
In order for Dolby Prologic II to provide optimal sound quality a strong FM signal is necessary. At times of a weak FM signal the sound quality is worse in Dolby Prologic II than in the Normal setting.
SERVICE:
It is recommended to use either the Normal or 3 Channel setting when listening to the FM source. To facilitate changing the audio setting the "my key" function can be used as a short cut through the menu. In addition to the labeled "my key" button the unlabeled buttons on the left and right ot "0" can be programmed as "my key".
To program the "my key" function select the desired menu function then hold down the "my key" button.
