The audio unit must be in contact with at least three different GPS satellites in order for a correct position to be calculated and displayed on the map. A maximum of 8 signals from different GPS Satellites can be received at the same time.
- The car's position on the map may sometimes be incorrect due to an in-built inaccuracy in the GPS system's position indicator (up to 100 meters). This applies in particular when driving on roads that run parallel to each other, on serpentine roads, roads on several levels or after driving a long distance without any marked change of direction. Tall buildings and mountains, tunnels, viaducts, over / underpasses etc also have a negative affect on the reception of GPS signals, which means that the calculation of the car's position may not be precise
- When calculating a route the distance, width of road, type of road, number of right or left turns, roundabouts etc. are all taken into account in order to produce the best theoretical route. Experience and local knowledge can however provide a more effective choice of route
- For technical reasons when calculating routes for longer distance journeys the system can only use big roads. If you select NO for toll roads they will be avoided as far as possible and only used if no other reasonable alternative is available
- If the vehicle is transported, by rail or ferry for example so that the reception of GPS signals is prevented it may take up to 5 minutes to calculate the position of the car exactly
- If the current to the navigation system has been interrupted, it may take up to 15 minutes before the GPS signals are received correctly and the car's position can be calculated.

No CD for the area
One single CD can only cover a limited section of the road network. However each CD covers the European motorway network and the town centers of larger cities. This means the following:
- You can set a destination in another country (a town center)
- You cannot have Guiding (intersection map or voice messages).
