General Information About Temperature Sensors
General information about temperature sensors
General
Manual climate control has 1 temperature sensor C
Electronic climate control has 5 temperature sensors A, B, C, D and E
A: Engine coolant temperature sensor (for the heat exchanger in the heater unit)
B: Outside temperature sensor (in front of the evaporator, on the evaporator cooler)
C: Evaporator sensor (behind the evaporator, on the evaporator cooler)
D: Passenger compartment temperature sensor (in the control panel behind the grille)
E: Sun sensor (in the loudspeaker grille in the dashboard on the passenger side)
A: Replace the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor
according to Engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor (A/C) Service and Repair.
B: Replace the outside temperature sensor
according to Outside temperature sensor Removal and Replacement.
C: Replace the evaporator temperature sensor
according to Temperature sensor evaporator Removal and Replacement.
D: Replace the interior temperature sensor
according to Interior temperature sensor (ECC) Removal and Replacement.
E: Replace the sun sensor
according to Sun sensor Removal and Replacement.
