Draining the fuel system
- Drain the fuel system. See Draining the fuel injection system Draining the Fuel Injection System.
Fuel filter, removing
Carefully release the protective pipes: Pressing the fuel lines towards the filter (A). At the same time, pull the black circlip backwards (B), together with the fuel line.
Slacken off the clamp and remove the fuel filter. For older models, use: 999 5666 Wrench 999 5666 Wrench , for later models, use: 999 7298 Terminal removal tool 999 7298 Terminal Removal Tool.
Fuel filter, installing
Install the new filter. Connect the protective pipes properly. (ensure that they lock).
Secure the filter on the mounting with the clamp.
Start the engine and check that there are no fuel leaks.
