Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information ECM-100A
Condition
The engine control module (ECM) compares the filtered signal from the intake manifold pressure sensor with the signal from the atmospheric pressure sensor in the engine control module (ECM). The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module registers that the deviation is greater than 70 hPa.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be diagnosed 15 seconds after the ignition is switched on.
Substitute value
If the pressure sensor for the intake manifold is OK, a filtered value from the sensor is used. Otherwise the value is set at 1,013 hPa (corresponding to sea level).
Possible source
- Damaged manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor
- Damaged engine control module (ECM).
Fault symptom[s]
- Malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) lit.
