Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information

Condition

The difference between the rear probe minimum and maximum values is checked approximately 5 minutes after start (if the probe heating is active and at least 1 fuel shut off has been made. It must not exceed 0.5 V. If it is not OK, the rear heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) maximum value exceeds the probe voltage initiation value (0 V) by at least 0.6 V and falls below the probe voltage initiation value (5 V) to the minimum value 0.1 V.
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) ECM- 220A is stored if the control module registers that these values ranges are not reached after approximately 5 minutes and the accumulated or actual probe heating has reached its value range.

Substitute value
Rear heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) control is disabled.

Possible source
Defective rear heated oxygen sensor (HO2S).

Fault symptom[s]
None.
