Checking components and connections
Note! If there are other diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) stored in the engine control module (ECM), these must be fault traced first.
- Ignition on
- Activate the smart tool to read off the ranking values
- Check the ranking values for the diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) listed in the smart tool by marking the relevant code.
This diagnostic trouble code (DTC) indicates that the actual torque has exceeded the desired torque. The torque was limited using fuel shut-off.
To determine the fault which caused the unwanted increase in torque, the ranking values must be read off. By looking at the ranking values, the fault can be found even though no diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored. For further information about the ranking values, see Ranking values Ranking Values.
For this fault-tracing, the smart tool reads off the ranking values for diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) ECM-1000, ECM-100A, ECM-1300, ECM-130A, ECM-1400, ECM-140A, ECM-150A, ECM-160A, ECM-200A, ECM-200D, ECM-200F, ECM-3100, ECM-310A, ECM-91AC and ECM-930C. These faults may have led to the increase in torque.
The ranking values vary between 0 and 255. A diagnostic trouble code (DTC) with a ranking value above 128 must be fault-traced using the standard procedures.
