Belt guide, installing

Installing the belt guide 1

Install the belt guide on the inside of the seat belt.
The profile of the belt guide must align with the doubled over section of the seat belt.

Marking for the upper rivet 2

Using an awl, carefully make a mark for the upper rivet by pushing through the guide and seat belt webbing.

Installing the upper rivet 3

Insert the rivet 1 (longer piece) through the belt guide and the seat belt (as illustrated).
Hint: Position the rivet on a torx 15 driver to make installation easier (as illustrated).
Install rivet cap (2) (as illustrated).

Apply tape (1) to the jaws of a slip joint adjustable plier to protect the rivet from scratches.
Compress the rivet with the pliers.
