Rear view mirror external

Removal

Removing the door mirror





Remove:
- the cover and door panel as described in Panel front door Panel Front Door
- the connector
- the nut
- the door mirror from the body

Removing mirror glass




Move the mirror glass rearward/inward as illustrated.
Take hold of the mirror glass and pull it outward/rearward until it releases from the outer retainer.




Then carefully press the glass in toward the door mirror housing without allowing it to refasten.
Release the glass from the inner retainer.
Unplug the connector pins from the glass.

Note! Memorize the way the cables are routed.

Removing the cover




Press the cover out using a finger/thumb.

Removing the electric motor
Pry the electric motor from the 3 locating pins.
Separate the connectors/connector.

Note! Note the position of the connectors.

Installation

Installing the electric motor





Install:
- the connectors/connector (1)
- the electric motor. Ensure that it clicks properly into place in the 3 mounting points.

Installing cover
Guide the casing toward the mirror housing and engage.

Installing the mirror glass




Plug in the 2 connector pins to the mirror glass.
Extend the mirror retainer on the electric motor.
Engage the mirror glass in the inner retainer.

Note! Ensure that the 2 guides/plastic springs are correctly located.

Engage the mirror glass in the outer retainer.

Hint: Use a knife as counterhold.

Installing the door mirror

Caution! Use a new seal.





Install:
- the door mirror
- the nut, 1 x M8. Tighten, see Specifications.
- the connector
- the door panel and cover as described in: Panel front door Panel Front Door
