Programming the Driver Information Module (DIM)

Programming the driver information module (DIM)

Programming the driver information module (DIM)
The following data and customer settings can be programmed in the driver information module (DIM):
- Distance conditions for service.
- Time conditions for service.
- Engine time conditions for service.
- Unit for temperature.
- Trip computer unit.
- 12 or 24 hour display on the clock.
- Parking brake warning On/Off.
- Audible acknowledgement signal, seat belt reminder On/Off.

Note! The Driver information module (DIM) must be set to User Defined to program the distance conditions, time conditions, engine time conditions, temperature unit, driving computer unit and 12 or 24 hour clock display. This only needs to be done once and takes place with a software download. Click on the symbol for VCT2000 to read out which service interval that the driver information module (DIM) has.

For further information see: Description of the programmed values Description Of the Programmed Values

Is the service interval User Defined?

Yes - Selecting the instrument type

No - Ordering software for User Defined

-------------------------------------------------

Selecting the instrument type
Select one of the following alternatives (for kilometers or miles).

Hint: If the instrument speedometer is from 0 - 260, the instrument is intended for kilometers. If the gauge is from 0 - 160, it is intended for miles.

Select the desired alternative

-------------------------------------------------

Programming distance conditions for service (km)

- Ignition on.
There are 3 service parameters that can be programmed. This parameter is used to indicate the number of kilometers the vehicle may be driven before the service reminder indicator (SRI) lights.
The following values may be selected:
- 5000 km
- 7500 km
- 10.000 km
- 12.000 km
- 15.000 km
- 20.000 km
- 30.000 km.
Read off the parameter that is programmed.
To change the service parameter, mark the desired value in the list and start programming.

-------------------------------------------------

Programming the time conditions for service

- Ignition on.
There are 3 service parameters that can be programmed. This parameter is used to set the number of months the vehicle may be driven before the service reminder indicator (SRI) lights.
The following values may be selected:
- 6 months
- 12 months
Read off the parameter that is programmed.
To change the service parameter, mark the desired value in the list and start programming.

Continue - Programming the engine time conditions for service

-------------------------------------------------

Programming the engine time conditions for service

- Ignition on.
There are 3 service parameters that can be programmed. This parameter is used to set the number of hours the engine may be running for before the service reminder indicator (SRI) lights.
The following values may be selected:
- 500 hours
- 750 hours
- 1000 hours
- 1100 hours.
Read off the parameter that is programmed.
To change the service parameter, mark the desired value in the list and start programming.

Continue - Programming the unit for temperature
