Support clips inflatable curtain (IC)

Removal

Removing the support clips




Remove the cover with plug.

Hint: Use a TX10 Torx driver. Press the driver straight into the hole to release the catches on the plug.

Move the cover to one side.




Angle the support clip to one side.
Insert a weatherstrip tool between the support clip and the bodywork as illustrated.
Unclip the clip from the body. The support clips will be deformed.

Note! Always replace removed support clips with new ones.

When replacing with a new inflatable curtain (IC):
The support clip is already installed on the inflatable curtain.

When replacing the support clips on the existing inflatable curtain (IC):
Remove the inflatable curtain from the vehicle. See: Inflatable curtain Inflatable Curtain Inflatable curtain Inflatable Curtain.
Place the inflatable curtain on a level surface.
Check that the inflatable curtain is taped (white pieces of tape).
If these pieces of tape are missing, replace the inflatable curtain with a new one.





Note! Only replace one support clip at a time.




Remove the support clip from the inflatable curtain.

Installation

Installing the support clips




Install the new support clip on the inflatable curtain.

Note! Ensure that the support clip has clicked together.

Check that the hooks have locked.
Reinstall the inflatable curtain in the vehicle. See: Inflatable curtain Inflatable Curtain Inflatable curtain Inflatable Curtain.
