DESCRIPTION:
In certain 2004 and 2005 S80 Executive vehicles only, relays in the Rear Electronic Module (REM) may fail. If this occurs, the Rear Park Assist System will become inoperable.

SERVICE:

Replace the relays in accordance with instruction below and verify the function of the parking assistance system.





1.

Replacement of relay for rear fuse holder
Lower the side panel on the left side in the
luggage compartment.
Applies to model year 2004:
Remove the relays, 2 pcs, in position (1).





2.
Install new relays

Applies to model year 2004:
Install new relays, 2 pcs, in position (1), part
number 9162300.
Install the side panel on the left side.





3.

Replacement of relay for rear fuse holder
Lower the side panel on the left side in the
luggage compartment.
Applies to model year 2005:
Remove the relays, 4 pcs, in position (1).





4.
Install new relays
Install new relays, 4 pcs, in position (1), part
number 9162300.
Install the side panel on the left side.
