Roof-mounted GSM Antenna:
Points 1-7 apply to the S40
- Turn the ignition key to position 0.
- Remove the rear interior lighting. Start by removing the rear edge and allow to hang.
- Clean the roof around the existing antenna dummy, above the rear windscreen
- Apply tape around the antenna dummy to prevent paintwork damage when the antenna dummy is cut off.
- Remove the antenna dummy. Cut around the antenna dummy. Use handles P/N 9512333 with a thin piano wire.
NOTE: There are three locating pins in the antenna dummy so pull the wire from both ends. Pull evenly to prevent paintwork damage.
- Remove the tape.
NOTE: To ensure the best results, it is recommended that two people press the new antenna onto the roof. One person should push against the inside of the roof to prevent buckling when the antenna is pressed down.
- Clean the area on the roof where the new antenna is to be positioned. Use a mixture of 30% isopropanol and 70% water. Wipe dry
- Remove the protective film from the tape on the antenna
- Align the locating pins for the antenna in the corresponding holes in the roof. Press the antenna securely into place.
NOTE: Apply pressure to the antenna for at least 30 seconds so that the tape secures properly.
- Turn the clip 90 degree . Remove the clip from the headlining
- Carefully fold down the centre section of the rear end of the headlining. Find the pre-routed cable for the antenna behind the hole for the interior lighting.
- Connect the violet connector on the pre-routed antenna cable to the left outlet on the antenna. The antenna cable is taped to the headlining behind the hole for the interior lighting
- Reinstall the clip in the headlining
- Reinstall the interior lighting.
CAUTION: Leave the car indoors for two hours after installing the antenna. Do not wash the car for at least 48 hours after installation.
Points 8-22 apply to the V50
- Turn the ignition key to position 0.
- Remove the rear roof panel by pulling it downwards. The panel is secured by nine clips on the inside
- Release the connector from the interior lighting. Place the panel to one side.
- Remove the rubber strip at the D-post panel
- Pull off the side panel at the rear edge to expose the lower end of the D-post panel.
- Remove the D-post panel. First pull it off from the car body. The D-post panel is secured by four clips. Unhook the upper edge from the headlining.
- Pry up the cover for the mounting for the cargo net. Remove the screw underneath.
- Fold the rear backrest forward
- Remove the side cushion by pulling forward at the upper edge until the clips on the reverse release. Then pull the side cushion straight up.
- Pry off the cover holding the C-post panel at the upper edge. Remove the screw from underneath
- Remove the rubber strip at the rear edge of the rear door.
- Remove the lower C-post panel. The panel is secured by four clips
- Remove the upper C-post panel. The panel is secured by two clips.
- Fold down the grab handle above the rear door. Pry up the cover and remove the screws from underneath. Remove the handle
- Repeat points 10-16 on the other side.
- Turn the clip in the headlining 90 degree . Remove the clip
- Lower the headlining carefully.
NOTE: Ensure that there are no kinks when lowering the headlining. Hang the headlining up by the ends when carrying out work on the antenna.

- Reinstall the clip in the headlining.
- Reinstall the grab handles
- Reinstall the C-post panels and the rubber strips
- Reinstall the side cushions
- Reinstall the mountings for the cargo compartment safety grille. Tighten the screws. Tighten to 24 Nm (18 lbf.ft)
- Reinstall the D-post panels Press the side panels into place.
- Reinstall the rubber strips Reconnect the interior lighting.
- Reinstall the rear headlining.
