Illustration B displays the right-hand side

- Fold down both rear seat backrests
- Locate the group of holes on the reverse of the left rear seat backrest, on the left and right hand sides. See the illustration
- Make holes using a scriber to localize the holes
- Make a hole in the carpet to expose the holes and weld nuts.

- Use the two exposed holes to measure the two holes for cutting out the carpet for the two mountings for the safety net. The measurements in the illustration apply to both groups of holes. Ensure that the holes are not enlarged too much and cannot be hidden by the outer edges of the mountings when marking. The holes must also be sufficiently large enough for the mountings to be tightened directly against the backrest panel
- Cut out the carpet using a utility knife.

- Place the mountings from the kit over the holes in the backrest. Ensure the arrows point forward
- Install the mountings. Use the screws from the kit. Tighten to 25 Nm (18 lbf. ft.).

- Insert the safety net cassette (from the kit ) on the mountings in the left backrest, on the left hand side
- Slide the cassette to the right until a click is heard, indicating that the spring (1) in the left-hand mounting of the cassette is in the corresponding channel in the mounting in the backrest.

Illustration A

Using the safety net with the backrest folded up (illustration A and B)
- Fold the rear backrests into position.

Illustration B

- Pull the net up. Insert the right mounting in the rear large hole in the rear mounting of the headlining. Then slide the mounting forwards to the front hole
- Repeat the operation on the other side. The safety net mounting springs into position. To position the net, pull towards the left mounting
- Check that the safety net mountings are securely fixed to the mounting for the headlinings.

Illustration C

Using the net with the backrests folded down
- The safety net can also be used with the backrest folded down. In this case, use the front mountings in the headlining.

Removing the safety net
- Pull the single mounting for the safety net back to the larger hole. Pull out
- Disconnect the other mounting in the same way.
