Anti-roll bar rear, replacing

Removing the exhaust system
Raise the car.
Remove the exhaust system. Start from the front by separating the system after the three-way catalytic converter (TWC).
Hang up the three-way catalytic converter (TWC) on a hook.
Remove:
- the mountings in the sub-frame
- the exhaust mounting at the back
- the screws for the cross member.
Removing the spring
Remove the spring on the left-hand side. See: Spring rear, replacing Rear Suspension.
Removing the anti-roll bar
Remove:
- the anti-roll bar from the outer mountings. Use a Torx wrench as a counterhold so that the boot is not damaged
- the screws holding the anti-roll bar in the sub-frame.
Installation
Note! To ensure that there is no exhaust leakage, see: Flanged joint, assembling Flanged Joint, Assembling.

Installing the anti-roll bar
Note! The parking brake cable must be under the anti-roll bar.
Insert the anti-roll bar past the removed shock absorber.
Install:
- the 2 M12 screws holding the anti-roll bar in the sub-frame
- the anti roll bar outer mountings. Use a Torx wrench as a counterhold so that the boot is not damaged.
Installing the spring
Install the spring. See: Spring rear, replacing Rear Suspension.
Installing the exhaust system
Install:
- the mountings in the sub-frame
- the 2 M8 nuts in the flange to the three-way catalytic converter (TWC)
- the exhaust mounting at the back
- the cross member
- the 2 M8 screws for the cross member.
Note! Install a new flange gasket.
Lower the car.
