Condition




The Differential Electronic Module (DEM) checks the configuration of the connector to the four wheel drive unit (AOC-unit). This is done to prevent a control module from another make of car being fitted by mistake.

Note! A control module from another make of car, with the same sort of four wheel drive system, can be fitted by mistake into a Volvo.

If the Differential Electronic Module (DEM) does not recognize the configuration, the trouble code is set.
The diagnostic trouble code can be diagnosed when the ignition is on.

- Four wheel drive is disengaged.
