Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information ECM-3010
Condition
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the engine control module (ECM) detects that the signal from the camshaft position (CMP) sensor (exhaust) is missing, or if the engine control module (ECM) detects too few flank changes during a set number of crankshaft revolutions.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be diagnosed when the starter motor is turning.
Substitute value
- Signal from the engine speed (RPM) sensor is used.
Possible source
- Open-circuit in the signal cable
- Short-circuit to ground in the signal cable
- Short-circuit to supply voltage in the signal cable
- Damaged camshaft position (CMP) sensor.
