DESCRIPTION:
The procedure for replacing the spare wheel winch is missing in VIDA.
MATERIALS:
PRODUCTION MODIFICATION:
Vehicles after the chassis number in the header have a winch of a different design. The "old" winch is not forwards-compatible to the newer vehicles and the "new" winch is not backwards-compatible to the older vehicles. Winch PN 30714793 only applies to vehicles before the chassis number in the header.
SERVICE:
For the vehicles in the header, follow this procedure to replace the winch.
Note!
Some variation in the illustrations may occur, but the essential information is always correct.
Removal
1. Applies to 7 seat vehicles:
Fold down the third row seats.
Remove the jack and tool kit.
2. Applies to all vehicles:
Remove the spare wheel.
3. Applies to 7 seat vehicles:
Note 1:
Remove 3 battery bracket screws.
Remove battery bracket.
Note 2:
Remove the plastic cover.
4. Applies to 7 seat vehicles:
Note 1:
Remove screw for seat rail track.
Remove seat track lock.
Note 2:
Remove 2 screws in seat track.
5. Applies to 7 seat vehicles:
Remove seat track bracket.
6. Applies to all vehicles:
Remove foam above winch.
7. Applies to all vehicles:
Remove the three screws for the spare wheel winch
Tightening torque upon re-installation is 10 Nm (7.4 lbf-ft).
8. Applies to all vehicles:
Remove the spare wheel winch.
Installation
9. Applies to all vehicles:
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
