Windshield Washer Reservoir: Service and Repair






Windshield washer fluid reservoir, replacing

Preparatory work

Removing the right-hand bumper cover
Detach the right side of the bumper cover. See: Casing bumper front, replacing Service and Repair.

Location of components




1. Windshield washer motor
2. Level sensor
3. Headlamp washer motor, high-pressure.

Removal

Removing the windshield washer fluid reservoir




Remove the screw for the fuel filler pipe.
Pull up the fuel filler pipe.
Disconnect the 3 hoses at the washer motors. Mark up the hoses.
Drain or plug the windshield washer reservoir.
Disconnect the connectors.
Remove the 3 screws.
Push the bumper cover to one side. Lift down the windshield washer reservoir.

Installation

Installing the windshield washer fluid reservoir
Push the bumper cover to one side. Position the windshield washer reservoir.
Install the 3 screws. Tighten. See: Tightening torque [1][2]Specifications.
Align the air hose. Install the 3 washer hoses according to the markings.
Connect the connectors.
Press the filler pipe into place.
Install the screw for the fuel filler pipe. Tighten.

Finishing

Installing the right-hand bumper cover
Install the right side of the bumper cover. See: Casing bumper front, replacing Service and Repair.

Function test
Fill with windshield washer fluid.
Test the function.
