Description of Parameters

Description of parameters, quick test of the fuel tank system

Pump leakage diagnostics unit (A)
Graphic display in quick-test tank system, vehicle communication.
Measurement range 0-400 mA.
Engine control module (ECM) calculates the value from the pump in the leakage diagnostics unit.
The value varies depending on the pressure in the tank system. Higher pressure means higher power consumption.

Battery voltage (V)
Measurement range 0-17.95 V.
The value indicates the voltage from the system relay to the engine control module (ECM).
The voltage may not fall below 11 V when quick-test tank system is performed.

Fuel tank system quick test
- IN PROGRESS= Engine control module (ECM) is carrying out a quick-test/diagnostics for the leak diagnostic unit and tank system.
- NOT IN PROGRESS= Leak diagnostics not in progress, quick-test tank system has not started or has finished.

Test phase
To enable start of quick-test, the status of this parameter must be: NOT IN PROGRESS.
The parameter shows in which phase the test is.
- Reference = Reference phase for leakage, as well as function check of leakage diagnostics unit, in progress.
- MAJOR LEAK= Leak diagnostics for major leak is in progress.
- MINOR LEAK= Leak diagnostics for minor leak is in progress.
- Not in progress = No quick-test/diagnosis in progress.

Fault status ECM-4310
The parameter shows the result of the diagnostics for function ECM-4310 on the leak diagnostic unit. The diagnostics are run during test phase REFERENCE.

Hint: For further information about diagnostics see diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information ECM-4310.

- No malfunction found = No malfunction was detected by engine control module (ECM).
- FAULT FOUND= Fault in leak diagnostic unit detected by the Engine control module (ECM). The fault status corresponds to ECM-4310.

Fault status ECM-431A
The parameter shows the result of the diagnostics for function ECM-431A on the leak diagnostic unit. The diagnostics are run during test phase REFERENCE.

Hint: For further information about diagnostics see diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information ECM-431A.

- No malfunction found = No malfunction was detected by engine control module (ECM).
- FAULT FOUND= Fault in leak diagnostic unit detected by the Engine control module (ECM). The fault status corresponds to ECM-431A.

Fault status ECM-4320
The parameter shows the result of the diagnostics for function ECM-4320 on the leak diagnostic unit. The diagnostics are run during test phase REFERENCE.

Hint: For further information about diagnostics see diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information ECM-4320.

- No malfunction found = No malfunction was detected by engine control module (ECM).
- FAULT FOUND= Fault in leak diagnostic unit detected by the Engine control module (ECM). The fault status corresponds to ECM-4320.

Fault status ECM-432A
The parameter shows the result of the diagnostics for function ECM-432A on the leak diagnostic unit. The diagnostics are run during test phase REFERENCE.

Hint: For further information about diagnostics see diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information ECM-432A.

- No malfunction found = No malfunction was detected by engine control module (ECM).
- FAULT FOUND= Fault in leak diagnostic unit detected by the Engine control module (ECM). The fault status corresponds to ECM-432A.

Test result major leak
The parameter shows the result of the diagnostics for tank system leakage. The diagnostics during test phase MAJOR LEAK.
- No malfunction found = No leakage detected by engine control module (ECM).
- FAULT FOUND= Leakage= >1 mm detected by Engine control module (ECM). The fault status corresponds to diagnostic trouble code (DTC) ECM-4308.

Test result minor leak
The parameter shows the result of the diagnostics for tank system leakage. The diagnostics during test phase MINOR LEAK.
- No malfunction found = No leakage detected by engine control module (ECM).
- FAULT FOUND= Leakage= >0.5 mm detected by Engine control module (ECM). The fault status corresponds to diagnostic trouble code (DTC) ECM-4308.
