Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information ECM-110A
Condition
The central electronic module (CEM) transmits the signal from the outside temperature sensor via CAN to the engine control module (ECM). The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the engine control module (ECM) detects that the value from the outside temperature sensor deviates too much from the values for intake and engine coolant temperature (ECT) after the engine has been allowed to cool from operating temperature for at least 8 hours.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be diagnosed at ignition after the engine has been allowed to cool for at least 8 hours.
Substitute value
- This temperature is used if no fault has been detected on the intake temperature sensor
- The constant 20 °C is used if a fault has also been detected on the intake temperature sensor.
Possible source
- Damaged outside temperature sensor.
Fault symptom[s]
- None.
