Condition




The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the engine control module (ECM) detects that the front heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) reacts too slowly to changes in the exhaust gas oxygen content.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be diagnosed approximately 4 minutes after the engine is started and if the following requirements are met.
- Engine coolant temperature (ECT) above 60 °C (engine at operating temperature)
- Fuel trim active
- Speed above 40 km/h
- Engine speed between 1500-3500 rpm.

Substitute value
- Fuel trim switched off.

Possible source
- Damaged front heated oxygen sensor (HO2S)
- Air leakage in the exhaust system.

Fault symptom[s]
- Malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) lit.
