Communication Fault
Communication fault
Information
This diagnostic trouble code (DTC) indicates that the immobilizer code does not match between the engine control module (ECM) and the central electronic module (CEM). Or that there is a fault in the control area network (CAN) communication between the engine control module (ECM) and the central electrical module (CEM).
This may be because:
- The engine control module (ECM) is not programmed or the immobilizer code in the engine control module (ECM) is incorrect i.e. the code does not match the code stored in the central electronic module (CEM)
- The central electronic module (CEM) is not programmed or the immobilizer code in the engine control module (ECM) is incorrect i.e. the code does not match the code stored in the engine control module (ECM)
- -Open-circuit in the CAN communication between the central electronic module (CEM) and the engine control module (ECM)
- -Programmed engine control module (ECM) or central electronic module (CEM) has been moved from one car to another.
Hint: Reading diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) in the central electronic module (CEM).
