Description of Parameters
Description of parameters
Parameters, status
Note! The parameters that can be read off are determined by the systems with which the vehicle is equipped.
Engine started
The value indicates whether the engine is started.
YES = Engine started.
NO = Engine not started
Brake pedal
The value indicates the status of the brake light switch. The Engine Control Module (ECM) sends a signal on the controller area network (CAN) on the position of the brake light switch: activated or not activated.
Active = Brake light switch actuated
Inactive = Brake light switch not actuated
Parking brake
The value indicates the position of the parking brake.
Active = Parking brake actuated
Inactive = Parking brake not actuated
DEM status
The value specifies which status the Differential Electronic Module (DEM) detects it has (in terms of software).
OK = AOC unit (coupling) is operating normally.
Coupling fully open upon request = AOC unit (coupling) fully open (requested from Brake Control Module (BCM))
Coupling inactive or faulty (open) = AOC unit (coupling) is open due to a fault in the system.
Coupling closed = AOC unit (coupling) is closed due to a fault in the system.
ABS status
The value indicates ABS modulation status. The Differential Electronic Module (DEM) obtains the value via the controller area network (CAN) from the Brake Control Module (BCM).
Active = ABS modulation
Inactive = No ABS modulation
AOC status
The value specifies which status the AOC unit has (coupling). The Differential Electronic Module (DEM) obtains the signal from the Brake Control Module (BCM). The signal is used for deactivating the AOC unit during special driving conditions.
Normal operation = Request from the Brake Control Module (BCM) for the AOC unit (coupling) to operate normally.
Rapid opening = Request from the Brake Control Module (BCM) for the AOC unit (coupling) to open quickly.
Slow opening = Request from the Brake Control Module (BCM) for the AOC unit (coupling) to open slowly.
Error in BCM = An error has occurred in the Brake Control Module (BCM) which means that the Differential Electronic Module (DEM) opens the AOC unit (coupling).
Gauge (high oil temperature)
The value indicates the number of times the Differential Electronic Module (DEM) has disengaged the all-wheel drive due to excessively high oil temperature.
Measurement range: 0-65534 times
Parameters, value
Outside temperature
The value indicates the outside temperature.
Measurement range: -128° C to +127.75° C
Power supply, Differential Electronic Module (DEM)
The value indicates the power supply to the Differential Electronic Module (DEM).
Measurement range: 0-24 V
Normal range: 12.0-14.5 V
CEM system voltage
The value indicates the voltage over the Central Electronic Module (CEM).
The control module transmits the signal on the controller area network (CAN) and the Differential Electronic Module (DEM) uses the signal to diagnose the power supply.
Measurement range: 5-30 V
Normal range: 12.0 - 14.5 V
Oil temperature
The value indicates the oil temperature in the AOC coupling.
Measurement range: -128° C to +127° C
Normal range: 50 - 60° C.
Oil pressure
The value indicates the oil pressure in the AOC coupling.
Measurement range: 0-4 MPa
Normal range: 0.4-2.0 MPa.
Power supply, solenoid
The value indicates the supply through the control valve's solenoid.
Measurement range: 0-4095 mA.
Power supply, pump motor
The value indicates the supply through the electrically driven feed pump.
Measurement range: 0-8191 mA.
Total distance
The value indicates the total distance covered by the vehicle.
Measurement range: 0-16777215 km.
Wheel speed
The value indicates wheel speed.
The Brake Control Module (BCM) transmits the speed signal on the controller area network (CAN) and the Differential Electronic Module (DEM) uses the signal to engage all-wheel drive.
Measurement range: 0-250 km/h.
Engine speed
The value indicates the engine's speed. The Differential Electronic Module (DEM) obtains the value via the controller area network (CAN) from the Engine Control Module (ECM).
Measurement range: 0-8191 r/min.
Idle speed: approx. 750 r/min.
Calculated engine torque
The value indicates an engine torque calculated by the Engine Control Module (ECM). The Differential Electronic Module (DEM) obtains the value via the controller area network (CAN) from the Engine Control Module (ECM).
Measurement range: -512 Nm to +511 Nm.
Rear axle torque
The value indicates the torque transferred to the rear axle, calculated by the AOC unit (coupling).
Measurement range: 0-1020 Nm
Requested engine torque
The value indicates the engine torque requested by the driver. The Differential Electronic Module (DEM) uses this information to correctly increase the torque transfer to the rear axle.
Measurement range: -512 Nm to +511 Nm.
