Checking the diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs)
Check whether diagnostic trouble code ECM-930C is stored in the engine control module (ECM).
If the diagnostic trouble code is stored, it indicates a fault in the clutch pedal sensor. This, in turn, could cause generation of the diagnostic trouble code. If so, perform all troubleshooting acc. to ECM-930C first.

Checking the component, wiring and connectors




- Ignition on.
Check the status of the clutch pedal switch by starting the readout, depressing the clutch pedal to its end position and checking whether the status changes.

Note! Read-out only works on vehicles built after week 46 2007.

Check the clutch pedal switch's cable and function by measuring between Engine control module (ECM) #B15 (#C15) and ground (frame connection).
Remedy as necessary.

- Turn off the ignition.
- Reinstall the connectors, components etc.
Check whether the fault has been remedied by switching on the ignition and attempting to start the engine.
Release the ignition key/start knob from position III as soon as the starter motor has started to crank.
The autostart function should drive the starter motor until the engine starts.

Has the fault been remedied?

Yes - Fault Found

No - VERIFICATION FAILED
