Condition
When attempting to start, the central electronic module (CEM) checks the included components via encrypted communication. The steering column lock module (SCL) receives a command from the central electronic module (CEM) when the steering column lock is to be locked or unlocked.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- The answer from Steering column lock module (SCL) is incorrect.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Ignition on.

Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.
