Condition
The differential electronic module (DEM) checks that the signal from the oil temperature sensor is within the permitted range. If the signal from the sensor is lower than the predefined lower limit value, the control module interprets this as a malfunction.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- Signal missing.
- Signal too low.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Ignition on.





Substitute value

- Four wheel drive is disengaged.

Possible source

- Connector resistance and oxidation in the connectors.
- Open-circuit or short-circuit to supply voltage in the signal cable.
- Damaged oil pressure and oil temperature sensor.
- Damaged control module.
