Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information CEM-U200562

Condition
Central electronic module (CEM) is responsible for voltage feed to Steering column lock module (SCL). The voltage feed to Steering column lock module (SCL) checks the Driver information module (DIM) which controls the feed via an internal relay in the Central electronic module (CEM). In order for the steering column lock to be activated, a number of criteria must be satisfied:
- The engine must be switched off.
- The vehicle must be stationary.
To decide if the vehicle is in motion, compare the two speed signals on the CAN-net from central electronic module (CEM) sent out from Brake control module (BCM).
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- The two speed signals have differed by more than 15 km/h for longer than 40 seconds per driving cycle for three driving cycles in a row.

Substitute value
- None.

Possible source
- Damaged sensor.
- Internal fault in the brake control module (BCM).
