Faulty Signal
Faulty signal
Checking the component and wiring
- Ignition off
- Light switch in position 0
- Disconnect connector A and connector B from the left-hand gas discharge lamp module (GDL)
- Disconnect the lamp housing connector.
Check that the ignition module in the lamp housing is correctly installed.
Check the connectors for contact resistance and oxidation. Check for damage carefully.
Check the following signal cables between the gas discharge lamp module (GDL) and the lamp housing. Check for an open-circuit. Check for a short-circuit to ground.
Take readings between:
- Gas discharge lamp module (GDL) terminal #B1 and lamp housing terminal #6
- Gas discharge lamp module (GDL) terminal #B6 and lamp housing terminal #12
- Gas discharge lamp module (GDL) terminal #B5 and lamp housing terminal #11
- Gas discharge lamp module (GDL) terminal #B3 and lamp housing terminal #2
- Gas discharge lamp module (GDL) terminal #B4 and lamp housing terminal #8.
Remedy as necessary.
