Removal

Note! Shift the gear selector into neutral position.

Remove the following items:
- battery ground cable. Refer to: Battery disconnecting and connecting Battery Disconnecting and Connecting
- the air cleaner (ACL) housing. Refer to: Air cleaner housing Service and Repair






Caution! Make sure that the switches or pins/sleeves in the transmission control module (TCM) and its connectors are not bent or damaged.

Torque: Gear selector mechanism (nut), 16 Nm






Installation






Note! Take care that the arrows point towards each other.

To install, reverse the removal procedure

Order software for the control module. See: 30774442.

Calibrate the gear-shift position sensor.
