Checking the connectors
- Ignition off
- Check the connectors for the siren, upper electronic control module and cable harness. Check for contact resistance and oxidation.
In particular, check for any damage
- Reinstall the components, reconnect the connectors etc.
- Ignition on.
Open the driver's door window. Lock the car using the remote control.
Wait 25 seconds until the car is alarmed. Trigger the alarm by inserting a hand through the window and unlocking the door from the inside using the internal door handle.

Is the siren functioning?
Yes - FAULT FOUND
No - Checking components and wiring

Checking components and wiring
Check that the fuses in the fusebox in the passenger compartment are intact.
Check the cable between control module terminal #21 and siren connector terminal #2. Check for an open-circuit. Check for a short-circuit to ground.
Check the wiring from the fuse in the passenger compartment to siren connector terminal #1. Check for an open-circuit. Check for a short-circuit to ground.
Remedy as necessary.
Reconfigure the siren if no faults are found.
