Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information
Condition
Control module for the brake system (BCM) can for diagnostic trouble codes BCM-C003107 (wheel sensor left front), BCM-C003407 (wheel sensor right front), BCM-C003707 (wheel sensor left rear) and BCM-C003A07 (wheel sensor right rear) register malfunctions in three different ways:
1. When the wheel sensor indicates to the control module that the wheel has stopped or rotates too slowly in relation to the vehicle reference speed while driving or during ABS control when speed exceeds 20 km/h (12.4 mph), diagnostic trouble code BCM-C003107, BCM-C003407, BCM-C003707 or BCM-C003A07 is generated depending on the wheel sensor.
2. The control module has an extrapolation counter that counts the number of times the wheel's change of speed is too large compared to what is permitted (calculated). If wheel acceleration is greater than that of the other wheel sensors, BCM-C003107, BCM-C003407, BCM-C003707 or BCM-C003A07 is generated depending on the wheel sensor.
3. If the control module registers that there is no signal from the wheel sensor when starting off from a speed below 6 km/h (3.7 mph) or if the slowest wheel rotates at a speed less than 40-60 % (depending on vehicle speed) that of the fastest wheel but the wheel sensor circuit remains unbroken, diagnostic trouble code BCM-C003107, BCM-C003407, BCM-C003707 or BCM-C003A07 is generated depending on the wheel sensor.
The diagnostic trouble code can be diagnosed at speeds over 10 km/h (6.2 mph).
Substitute value
- ABS is blocked.
- EBD is blocked if two or more wheel sensors are inoperable.
- TC is blocked.
- SC is blocked.
- AYC is blocked.
- BA is blocked.

Possible source
- A wheel was blocked while driving.
- Loose wheel sensor.
- Too little or too large of a gap between wheel sensor and toothed wheel.
- Wheel bearing play or axle vibrations.
- Damaged toothed wheel.
- Damaged wheel sensor.
- Dirt between wheel sensor and pulse wheel.
Note! This diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is not due to an internal hardware fault in the Brake control module (BCM) and must not be remedied by replacing the control module.
Fault symptom[s]
- General warning light on.
- ABS warning light on.
- ABS is not operational.
- Anti-spin is not operational.
- The stability function is not operational.
- The anti-skid function is not operational.
