Checking the connectors

Note! If other diagnostic trouble codes are stored in the brake control module (BCM) in addition to BCM-C006364, BCM-C006164, BCM-C111464 or BCM-C006264, select Cancel and troubleshoot these diagnostic trouble codes first.

- Ignition off
- Check the connectors of the brake control module (BCM) and the AYC sensor for contact resistance and oxidation.
- Check that a source of interference, such as a cellular phone or a radio receiver, is not positioned too close to the AYC sensor.
- Test-drive following operating cycle: Test Drive Form (DSTC (dynamic stability and traction control) /brake control module), description Test Drive Form (DSTC (Dynamic Stability And Traction Control) /Brake Control Module), Description
- Ignition on
- Read off diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs).
If the status of the diagnostic trouble code is intermittent, the malfunction was probably caused by contact resistance or oxidation in the brake control module (BCM) or AYC sensor connector or a source of interference too close to the sensor.

Checking the wiring

- Ignition off
Check the connectors of the brake control module (BCM) and the AYC sensor for contact resistance and oxidation.
Check the cables for an open circuit.
Measure between:
- The connector for AYC sensor terminal #1 and brake control module (BCM) terminal #A25 (#A25).
- The connector for AYC sensor terminal #2 and brake control module (BCM) terminal #A29 (#A29).
- The connector for AYC sensor terminal #3 and brake control module (BCM) terminal #A6 (#A6).
- The connector for AYC sensor terminal #5 and brake control module (BCM) terminal #A39 (#A39).
Check wheel alignment.
Remedy as necessary.

Verification

Hint: After carrying out the repair, check that the malfunction has been remedied.

- Ignition off
- Reconnect the connectors, components, etc.
- Test-drive the vehicle according to Test Drive Form (DSTC (dynamic stability and traction control) /brake control module), description Test Drive Form (DSTC (Dynamic Stability And Traction Control) /Brake Control Module), Description.

Note! Do not turn off the ignition between test-driving and reading out diagnostic trouble codes. This is to obtain the correct status of the diagnostic trouble codes.

Then read out the diagnostic trouble code's status without turning off the ignition after the test-drive.
