Condition




Diagnostic trouble code BCM-C008216 is generated if the brake control module (BCM) registers that battery voltage is less than 9.5 V and the speed of the fastest rotating wheel exceeds 20 km/h (12.4 mph).
The diagnostic trouble code can be diagnosed when speed exceeds 20 km/h (12.4 mph) and low voltage has been detected for more than 0.5 ms.

Substitute value
- ABS is blocked.
- EBD is blocked if voltage is below 8 V.
- TC is blocked.
- SC is blocked.
- AYC is blocked.
- BA is blocked.

Possible source
- Contact resistance in the terminals
- Battery voltage too low.
- Malfunction in charging system.
- Open circuit or short circuit to ground on voltage feed cable.
- Damaged fuse in circuit.
- Interference on the cables.
- Damaged brake control module (BCM).
