Condition




The central electronic module (CEM) checks the stop lamps.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the central electronic module (CEM) detects that the signal from the lower brake lights is too low.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be diagnosed when the stop lamp is active.

Substitute value
- If the fault has been detected in 200 ignition cycles, the output is closed permanently until the diagnostic trouble code is erased.

Possible source
- The circuit between Central electronic module (CEM) and lower brake lights is short-circuited to ground.

Fault symptom[s]
- The stop lamp does not light when the brake pedal is depressed.
