Checking the wiring
- Ignition off
- Disconnect the connector to the Integrated Audio Module (IAM).
Check the connections with regard to contact resistance, play and oxidation.
Check the antenna cable between the Integrated Audio Module (IAM) and the antenna amplifier with regard to short circuits to supply voltage.
Check the antenna cable between the Integrated Audio Module (IAM) and the antenna amplifier with regard to short circuits to ground.
Measure between:
- Integrated Audio Module (IAM) #B1 and antenna amplifier #1.
- Integrated Audio Module (IAM) #B2 and antenna amplifier #2.
If the vehicle is equipped with navigation system (does not apply to US) the antenna lead runs from Integrated Audio Module (IAM) #B1, via Multimedia module (MMM) , to antenna amplifier #1.
Remedy as necessary.
