Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information

Condition
The Rear electronic module (REM) checks the function of the siren (BBS) via check messages.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- Communication with siren (BBS) is lost.
- The siren responds with incorrect information.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Communication between the Rear electronic module (REM) and siren (BBS), for example during siren activation.
Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.

- None.
Possible source
- Open-circuit in the signal cable to the siren (BBS).
- Fault on the connector in the Rear electronic module (REM), Central electronic module (CEM) or siren (BBS).
- Leaking battery acid in siren (BBS) causes interference in the LIN-net.
- Internal fault in the siren (BBS).
Fault symptom[s]
- False alarm
- The vehicle angle sensor does not activate, on the condition that the siren is equipped with vehicle angle sensor.
