Condition





Note! The diagnostic trouble code only applies to vehicles equipped with DSTC.

The steering angle sensor module (SAS) sends a signal to the brake control module (BCM) via CAN to indicate whether the steering angle sensor is functioning correctly or not.
Diagnostic trouble code BCM-U012600 is generated if the brake control module (BCM) registers that there is no signal from the steering angle sensor module (SAS).
The diagnostic trouble code can be diagnosed when the ignition is on.

Substitute value
- TC is blocked.
- SC is blocked.
- AYC is blocked.

Possible source
- Interference or open circuit on CAN.
- The steering angle sensor module (SAS) is not connected to CAN.
- Internal malfunction in steering angle sensor (SAS).

Fault symptom[s]
- General warning light on.
- Anti-spin is not operational.
- The stability function is not operational.
- The anti-skid function is not operational.
