Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information SAS-U300362
Condition
Note! This trouble code is only relevant for troubleshooting and action in the following cases:
- The trouble code is active in the present driving cycle and has been active for a longer period of time.
- The customer experiences malfunction that can be attributed to the trouble code.
The Steering Angle Sensor (SAS) is located in the Steering Wheel Module (SWM) from which it is supplied with power. It is however only the Steering Angle Sensor which communicates on the Control Area Network (CAN).
The Steering Angle Sensor (SAS) compares the voltage with a known value from the Central Electronic Module (CEM).
If the Steering Angle Sensor (SAS) registers that the voltage, in comparison with the voltage signal from the Central Electronic Module (CEM), is more than 2 V lower, for more than 10 seconds, the trouble code is set.
The trouble code may be diagnosed when the ignition is on and the angle sensor is initiated. The sensor is initiated by the steering wheel being turned by more than 4.5° in either direction.
Substitute value
- The stability function is blocked.
Possible source
- Connector resistance or oxidation in the connector to the Steering Wheel Module (SWM).
- Internal fault in the Steering Angle Sensor (SAS).
Fault symptom[s]
- The anti-spin warning lamp is illuminated.
- General warning lamp lit
- The stability function is not working.
