Fault Code 13, Tester Code 44

1. locate Intake air temperature sensor at bottom side of intake manifold.
2. Disconnect sensor electrical connector.
3. Measure resistance across sensor terminals. Readings should be as shown in Fig. 8, and should not deviate more than 10%.
4. Inspect sensor connector and wires to ECU terminals 22 and 6/2 for damage.
5. Connect one voltmeter lead to sensor terminal 2 and the other lead to ECU terminal 22 then 6/2. With ignition switch in Run position readings at each terminal should be 4.5-5.5 volts.
6. If reading is not as specified in step 5, check continuity from sensor terminal to ECU terminal 22 then 6/2. If wiring checks good, replace ECU.
