Fault Code 22, Tester Code 04, 22

1. Perform procedure described under ``Output-Periphery Test'' for idle regulator. If audible Tick-Tock sound is not heard, proceed as follows:
a. Locate ISC motor at passenger side rear of engine near strut tower.
b. Disconnect ISC motor electrical connector.
c. Measure resistance between ISC motor winding contacts 1 and 2, reading should be 19-25 ohms. Measure resistance between ISC motor winding contacts 2 and 3, reading should be 17-23 ohms. Replace ISC motor if readings are not as specified.
d. Check for continuity between ISC electrical connector terminal 1 and ECU terminal 34, ISC connector terminal 3 and main relay terminal 87 and ISC connector terminal 3 and ECU terminal 33.
e. Connect ISC motor electrical connector.
f. Check ISC motor rotating slide turns with no resistance. Replace ISC motor if operation is not as specified.
g. If all wires, connections and motor operation is satisfactory, clear codes, then perform procedure described under ``Diagnostic Fault Code Output.'' If codes return, replace ECU and retest.
