DTC Troubleshooting: B1013, B1014, B1015

DTC B1013: MICU Lost Communication with Driver's MPCS Unit (ASLOCKSW Message)

DTC B1014: MICU Lost Communication with Driver's MPCS Unit (DOORSW Message)

DTC B1015: MICU Lost Communication with Driver's MPCS Unit (DRLOCKSW Message)

NOTE: If you are troubleshooting multiple DTCs, be sure to follow the instructions in B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A. Troubleshooting - B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A

1. Clear the DTCs with the HDS.

2. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0) and then back to ON (II).

3. Wait for at least 6 seconds.

4. Check for DTCs with the HDS.

Is DTCs B1013, B1014, and/or B1015 indicated?
YES - Go to step 5.

NO - Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for loose or poor connections between the MICU and the driver's MPCS unit.


5. Check for DTCs with the HDS.

Are DTCs B1064 B1065, B1181, B1182, B1613, B1614, B1615, and B1811 all indicated?
YES - Do the driver's MPCS unit input test. Multiplex Integrated Control System Driver's MPCS Unit Input Test

NO - Check for an open in the communication circuit between the MICU and the gauge control module. If the circuit is OK, replace the MICU. If the circuit is bad, repair the open.
