DTC Troubleshooting: B1645

DTC B1645: Driver's Door LF Antenna Circuit Short

1. Clear the DTCs with the HDS.

2. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), and then back to ON (II).

3. Select the MODE MENU from the HDS, then enter the SELF CHECK.

4. Check for DTCs with the HDS.

Is DTC B1645 indicated?
YES - Go to step 5.

NO - Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for loose or poor connections.


5. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).

6. Disconnect keyless access control unit connector B (24P).

7. Disconnect the driver's door LF antenna 8P connector.

8. Check for continuity between body ground and the keyless access control unit connector B (24P) terminals No. 13 and No. 14 individually.

Is there continuity?
YES - Repair short to ground in the wire.

NO - Go to step 9.






9. Reconnect keyless access control unit connector B (24P).

10. Connect the voltmeter between driver's door LF antenna 8P connector terminals No. 3 and No. 7.

11. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).






12. Select the FUNCTION TEST from the HDS, and do the DRIVER'S ANTENNA DC OUTPUT.

Is there voltage?
YES - Replace the driver's door LF antenna.

NO - Replace the keyless access control unit.
