EEPROM Error Is Indicated

DTC Troubleshooting: B1202 or EEPROM error is indicated

DTC B1202 or EEPROM error is indicated:Climate Control Unit Internal Error

NOTE:

- Check the battery condition Testing and Inspection and the charging system. Alternator and Regulator Circuit Troubleshooting

- If you are troubleshooting multiple DTCs, be sure to follow the instructions in B-CAN system diagnosis test mode A. Troubleshooting - B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A

1. Clear the DTC with the HDS.

2. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), and then to ON (II).

3. Wait for 6 seconds or more.

4. Do the self-diagnostic with the HDS Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview or the climate control unit. Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview

5. Check for DTCs.

Is DTC B1202 or EEPROM error indicated?
YES - The climate control unit is faulty, replace the climate control unit.

NO - Intermittent failure, the climate control unit is OK at this time.
