Interior Trim Removal/Installation - Rear Side Area
Special Tools Required
- KTC Trim Tool Set SOJATP2014

Cargo Area Side Trim Panel
NOTE:
- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
- Take care not to bend or scratch the trim or the panel.
- Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when removing components.
1. Remove the tonneau cover (A).
2. Remove these items:
- Tailgate weatherstrip, as needed Service and Repair
- Rear under floor cover Interior Trim Removal / Installation - Cargo Area
- Rear seat cushion
- Rear seat side bolster
- Rear seat belt lower anchor
3. Pull up the damper maintenance lid (A) by hand to release the hooks (B), then remove the lid.
4. Remove the rear seat belt anchor wire.
5. Remove the floor side lid (A).
6. Left side: Remove the cargo area side lid (A).
7. Pry out the cover (A), and remove the bolt (B), then remove the tie down hooks (C) and the convenience hook (D).
8. Remove the floor lid clip (A) by pinching its tabs (B).
9. Remove the cargo area side trim panel (A).
1. Remove the clip (B) from the front area of the trim panel.
2. Pull the upper edge of the trim panel back to release the upper hooks (C) and the tab (D) from the quarter pillar trim (E).
3. Pull out the trim panel back by hand to detach the clips (F, G, H).
4. Pull the front area of the trim panel inward to release it from the sear seat-back striker (I).
5. Disconnect the cargo area light connector (J) and the cargo area accessory power socket connector (K) on the left side.
6. Remove the front lower corner of the trim panel from under the rear seat-back.
7. Carefully move the trim panel inward, and remove it.
10. If necessary, remove the bolts (A, B), and detach the connector clip (C), then remove the front lid support (D) and the rear lid support (E).
11. Install the trim panel in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
- If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones.
- Make sure each connector is plugged in properly.
- Push the clips, the hooks, and the tabs into place securely.
Rear Wheelhouse Insulator
NOTE: Put on gloves to protect your hands.
1. Remove the cargo area side trim panel.
2. Detach the clips (A) and the harness holder (B) from the stud bolt, and detach the side wire harness clips (C), then remove the rear wheelhouse insulator (D).
3. Install the insulator in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
- If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones.
- Push the clips and the harness holder into place securely.
