Expansion Block/Orifice Tube: Service and Repair
NOTE: When replacing restrictor note color and only use one of the same color (white or yellow).
- Discharge A/C refrigerant system Service and Repair
- Unscrew connection -A-.
Tightening torque: 15 Nm (11 ft. lb)
- Detach refrigerant lines.
- Pull restrictor -B- out of refrigerant line (e.g. using long-nose pliers).
NOTES:
- Restrictor -B- must be inserted correctly (arrow on restrictor should point toward evaporator).
- Make sure that O-ring -C- (7.5 mm x 1.5 mm) is properly seated in the groove.
- Replace O-ring -D- (10.8 mm x 1.8 mm).
- Seal off all open connections (restrictor must be firmly seated in refrigerant line with no play).
- Before installing O-ring for restrictor, lubricate lightly with refrigerant oil.
- Connect refrigerant lines free of stress.
