Exhaust System Installing

Before raising the vehicle on a hoist (wheels off the ground), activate the vehicle lift mode.

Align the exhaust system when cold.

- Loosen the threaded connections on all double clamps for the exhaust system.

- Press the rear muffler toward the front - arrow - until the following pre-loads on the suspended mount are achieved:





Front suspended mount: - a - = 11 mm.

Rear suspended mount: - a - = 14 mm.

- Align the rear muffler horizontally.

- Position the double clamps centered to the section points.





- Adjust the front double clamps so that bolt ends do not project over the lower edges of the double clamps.

- Adjust the rear double clamps so that bolt ends do not project over the lower edges of the double clamps.





- Tighten the threaded connections of the double clamps evenly.

Tailpipe, Aligning





- Check the distance of the tailpipe on the left and right side to the bumper cover:

Dimension - x - left = dimension - x - right.

If necessary, correct dimension "x" as follows:





- Loosen the threaded connections - arrow - of the brace between the exhaust pipes.

- Adjust the distance between the rear mufflers.

- Tighten the bolts.

- Check the distances - y - and - z - of the tailpipe to the bumper:





Dimension - y - = 18 to 22 mm.

Dimension - z - = 8 to 12 mm.
