Windshield Wiper Arms

Observe notes on contact corrosion. Refer to => [ Contact Corrosion ] Service Precautions.

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Puller (T10369)

Removing

• If the windshield wiper motor is to be run during the work procedure, the hood must be closed, otherwise the voltage supply of the wiper motor will be interrupted.

- Bring windshield wiper into service position. Refer to => [ Windshield Wipers, Bringing into Service Position ] Procedures.

- Switch off ignition and remove ignition key.

- Pry off cover caps on wiper arms using a screwdriver.

- Loosen nuts - arrows - several rotations.





- Position the puller (T10369/1) on the wiper arm - 1 - as illustrated.





- Position the thrust piece - 2 - on the wiper axle.

- Rotate the bolt - 3 - clockwise until the wiper arm is removed from the axle.

- Remove nuts completely and remove wiper arms.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:

- Adjust wiper arms. Refer to => [ Windshield Wiper Arms, Adjusting ] Windshield Wiper Arms, Adjusting.
